MERCURE HOTEL, BRIDGWATER

This project involved the design and construction of a new 4* Hotel in Bridgwater for the Mercure Hotel chain.

The 4* Hotel forms the first part of a wider regeneration plan for the area and works involved the demolition of three existing buildings to make way for this new mixed use development.

The hotel comprises of 103 guest bedrooms over 4-storeys together with bar, restaurant, gym and two ground floor retail units. The facility also houses a Marco Pierre White Restaurant.

The new building structure utilises a Metframe pre-panelised system with reinforced concrete composite floors to ground level and reinforced concrete composite metal deck suspended floors to upper levels. The building also consists of galvanised steel roof, pre-fabricated steel stairs and coloured render facade
