The project involves the construction of a modern 21st century five-bedroom executive house as part of the phase 6 Pentre Nicklaus development on the Machynys Peninsula.
The site is in a prominent position overlooking the Loughor Estuary and the Millennium Coastal Park and is made up of two plots that were part of the original Pentre Nicklaus scheme. The developers’ intention was to build a single property across the site, ensuring that the potential of the site is maximised in terms of layout, views, and quality of spaces.
Similar to the original Augusta house type, the proposal is designed to maximise the views across the Estuary to the South West, opening up to its external surroundings, with large areas of glazing, bi-folding doors, external terraces, first-floor living spaces and balconies to the rear.
The new house is erected from concrete blockwork and steel frame with timber cladding fixed over the external.
