DEAN STREET, BRISTOL

The proposed development involves the new build construction of 225 student residences in Bristol city centre.

Accommodation comprises single-occupancy rooms, studios and ‘twodios’ together with associated ancillary facilities, communal study spaces, office, gym, café, cycle parking, refuse and recycling areas, plant rooms, laundry and communal garden.

The student accommodation will be accessed directly from Dean Street with a reception area, security office and communal accommodation extending along the Dean Street frontage.

The communal areas will provide a range of study areas and meeting / activity spaces and also provide access to the south west facing courtyard amenity space. A self-contained cafe unit is proposed on the prominent Dean Street Wilder Street corner.

The scheme has been designed to respect the context of the surrounding buildings, both in terms of height and distance, for both amenity and appearance. The development will complement the recently completed residential accommodation in the vicinity of the site and contribute to the regeneration of this inner city area.
