DEWI BUILDING & MERLIN REFECTORY

WRW carried out a full refurbishment of the Dewi and Merlin buildings which consisted of re-landscaping,complete  upgrade of the building envelope which has significantly improved the buildings thermal performance and complete refurbishment of the internal spaces.

Dewi Building: The project involved the redevelopment of the existing ground floor, extension and associated works to provide:

• New reception and security facility

• New administrative space

• Single storey extension to existing reception area

• Flexible meeting facilities

• IT teaching facility

• Staff accommodation

Merlin Refectory: The project involved the redevelopment of the existing refectory and associated areas to create a more modern and appropriate commercial restaurant and networking amenity space by the introduction of a new servery, new restaurant layout and new fixtures and fittings.

A new entrance has also been developed which effectively re-orientates the facility to promote it and provide more effective routes into the Halliwell Centre.

New toilet facilities were installed to bring the building up to current building standards.
