NEW PRIMARY CARE RESOURCE CENTRE

The project involved the design and construction of a new two-storey Primary Care Resource Centre and Pharmacy in Brynmawr.

The new development sees the relocation of two existing local GP Surgeries, Health Clinic and Community Dental Services, into new state-of-the-art premises. A new retail Pharmacy located off the main atrium also provides dispensing and minor illness advice on site.

The new building includes; consulting rooms, phlebotomy rooms, treatment rooms, minor operations suite, clinical rooms, community dental services, pharmacy, meeting rooms, reception and waiting areas.

The development was built on a greenfield site adjacent to an existing Primary School and in close proximity to commercial units and residential properties.

Sustainability considerations have been integral to the design development process and the project achieves BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating.

The new development is a focal point for health care advice, treatment, information and community support with a focus on providing a modern, clean and flexible environment.
