WRW were the principle contractor appointed to carry out five phases of this prestigious new build project on the Machynys peninsula. The scheme involved the establishment of a new village on land which was heavily industrialised in the past and as such extensive remediation works were required.
The development consists of the construction of 120 quality new homes including 15 different house types and all new infrastructure works, which amounted to approximately 20% of the whole project cost.
External works involved re-profiling of the entire site, delivery of all new utility services, construction of new roads, footpaths, street lighting, sign posting, drainage systems and pumping stations. The scheme was acclaimed as one of the foremost residential schemes in Britain and has won extensive UK national building awards:
• Daily Mail UK Property Awards – Best
• LABC National Supreme Winner – Best Housing
