THE NATIONAL LIBRARY OF WALES

This prestigious project involved two phases.

Phase 1 included the conversion and extensive refurbishment of the front block to The National Library
of Wales Grade II Listed Building. The works provided the new ‘Visitors Experience’ which formed new public areas comprising of a new refectory, introduction area, interpretation area and classroom facilities together with restaurant with disabled toilet facilities.

Phase 2 comprised the new build construction of ‘Y Drwm’, an elliptical building constructed within one of the interior courtyards of the National Library to provide an auditorium, atrium, special display centre and associated facilities.

Each phase of this two phase construction project was unique in its delivery requirements and accordingly covered a wide range of construction services.
