This new residential development is located in the village of Waunarlwydd and involves the design and construction of 45 units split over two sites.
The larger site will accommodate 36 units comprising 28 houses for market sale and a block of 8 flats for affordable tenure. The smaller site will contain 9 affordable/social rented houses to meet local housing demand.
Extensive site clearance and ground remediation strategy will be undertaken in order to prepare the site for the new development. A number of trees located in and around the site are subject to Tree Preservation Orders and an Ecological Buffer Zone will be set up around the treeline and existing watercourse on the southwestern boundary.
All dwellings will incorporate timber frame and a ‘fabric first approach with a mix of facing brickwork and render. The appearance and materials used for the proposed development have been carefully considered in order to ensure the development will fit in with, and complement, the existing street scene.
