This prestigious new build project on the Machynys peninsula involved the establishment of a new village on land which was heavily industrialised in the past and required extensive remediation works.
Delivered over five phases, the development involved the construction of 120 quality new homes including 15 different house types and all new infrastructure works, which amounted to approximately 20% of the whole project cost.
The houses have been designed to take total advantage of the views over the Loughor Estuary, the Whitford Lighthouse, and the new championship golf course. A number of the house types provide California-style living, with a first-floor entrance, living rooms, and balcony area, with bedroom accommodation beneath.
External works involved re-profiling the entire site, new utility services, new roads, footpaths and street lighting, sign-posting, drainage systems, and pumping stations.
The scheme was acclaimed as one of the foremost residential schemes in Britain and has won extensive UK national building awards.
