The project involved the design and construction of a 69-Bed Travelodge Hotel as part of the Langley Park redevelopment.
The hotel was built over four stories and incorporates pad and strip foundations with beam and block flooring. A steel frame to the first-floor concrete composite deck and steel frame continuing to form the 2 no. lift shafts and stairwells. The second to fourth floor is constructed in timber frame with the external envelope being cladding, render, and brickwork.
The site was bounded by residential properties and the Chippenham Railway Station.
The scheme forms part of a wider development which will see the delivery of 400 new homes, Aldi Supermarket, cafe, public open space, and highway improvements.
